Biographie
Depuis sa formation en 1989, le Quatuor Claudel-Canimex a trouvé un accueil chaleureux auprès du public et s'est mérité l'éloge de la critique en faisant sien un répertoire qui s'étend du baroque jusqu'aux maîtres contemporains. Élaine Marcil et Marie-Josée Arpin, violonistes, Annie Parent, altiste, et Jeanne de Chantal Marcil, violoncelliste, se taillent une place d'honneur parmi les quatuors canadiens.

L'ensemble s'est produit sur les réseaux de Radio-Canada et de PBS, ainsi qu'en concert aux États-Unis et au Canada, notamment au Great World Ensembles Series torontois en 1993, où il était le seul quatuor à cordes canadien.

On l'a également entendu au Québec lors de la prestigieuse série montréalaise Pro Musica, au Festival international de Lanaudière et au Festival Massawippi, en Ontario au Festival of the Sound, et à Halifax au Festival Scotia.

Since its foundation in 1989 the Quatuor Claudel-Canimex has been warmly received by the public and praised by critics as it offered a broad repertory ranging from the baroque to the contemporary. Élaine Marcil and Marie-Josée Arpin, violin, Annie Parent, viola, and Jeanne de Chantal Marcil, cello, have earned a solid reputation among Canada's quartets.

The group has been heard on the CBC and PBS networks, and in concert in the United States and Canada, notably at Toronto's Great World Ensembles Series in 1993, where they were the only Canadian string quartet. They have also appeared in Quebec at the illustrious Pro Musica series of Montreal as well as at the Festival International de Lanaudière and the Massawippi Festival, in Ontario at the Festival of the Sound, and in Halifax at the Scotia Festival of Music.
